The Espresso Bar
House-roasted single origins and a rotating seasonal blend, pulled on our La Marzocco and finished with milk steamed to order. Flat whites, cortados, and a cocoa-dusted mocha worth the indulgence.
Slow mornings, properly made.
Slow mornings, properly made.
A warm little corner of Burlington for single-origin espresso, unhurried pour-overs, and pastries pulled from the oven while you're still deciding what to order.
Our story
Established 2016
Maple & Ember began with a borrowed roaster, a stubborn love of good coffee, and a hunch that Willowbrook Avenue needed somewhere to linger. We roast in small batches a few blocks away, dial in every espresso by taste rather than timer, and bake our pastries before the sun clears the rooftops. Pull up a stool at the bar, take the worn leather chair by the window, or grab a cup for the walk along the lake — however you take your morning, we've made a place for it.
On the menu
House-roasted single origins and a rotating seasonal blend, pulled on our La Marzocco and finished with milk steamed to order. Flat whites, cortados, and a cocoa-dusted mocha worth the indulgence.
Hand-brewed cup by cup on the V60, with a tasting card so you know exactly which farm and harvest you're drinking. Bright, clean, and built for the unhurried hour.
Buttery croissants, maple-oat cookies, and a daily galette baked in-house each morning. They sell out fast, so the early walk-in is rewarded.
Twelve-ounce bags of our single origins and house blend, roasted to order and stamped with the roast date. Ask the bar for a brew recommendation for your kit.

Kind words
“The best flat white in Burlington, full stop. The team remembers your order by the second visit and somehow makes the wait feel like part of the morning.”
“I came in for a quick coffee and ended up staying two hours with a pour-over and a galette. That window seat is dangerous in the best way.”
“We've tried their beans at home for a year now. Roasted to order, always fresh, and they'll happily talk you through a brew if you ask.”
